Resolving Count Conflicts

Review and resolve items where the RFID scanned quantity is higher than the manually counted quantity before updating the counted column.

A count conflict occurs when an item has already been manually counted and a subsequent RFID scan records a higher quantity than the existing counted value. Rather than overwriting your manual count silently, the app pauses and shows the Quantity Conflicts dialog so you can decide which quantity to keep for each affected item.

Conflicts only arise during the Update Counted step after RFID scanning. Items that have not yet been manually counted are updated automatically and do not appear in the conflict dialog.

When the dialog appears

After saving RFID scanned quantities, tap Update Counted in the action button row. The app evaluates every item that has a scanned quantity greater than zero:

Item stateWhat happens
Not yet counted (no counted value)Counted quantity is updated automatically to match the scanned quantity
Already counted and scanned qty counted qtyNo change — the existing counted value is kept
Already counted and scanned qty > counted qtyItem is flagged as a conflict and shown in the dialog

If there are no conflicts, the app updates all uncounted items silently and shows a Updated counted quantities for N item(s) confirmation. If every scanned item already has an equal or higher counted value, the message All scanned items are already counted appears instead.

Reading the Quantity Conflicts dialog

The Quantity Conflicts dialog lists each conflicting item with an orange warning icon in the title. Below the heading, the message reads: These items were already counted but have a higher scanned quantity. Tap an item's new value to update it.

Each item row shows:

ElementDescription
Product nameShown in bold
EAN / SKUShown below the name when available
System qtyThe current inventory quantity recorded in the system
Scanned badge (blue)The quantity recorded by RFID scanning
Counted badge (grey)The quantity previously entered manually
New value fieldInitially shows a dash (—). Tap it to activate and enter a new counted value.

When you tap the new value field, it becomes an editable number field with an orange border and is pre-filled with the scanned quantity. A small × button appears in the top-right corner of the field — tap it to deactivate that item and leave its counted value unchanged.

Resolving conflicts

Updating individual items

  1. Tap the field next to the item you want to update.
  2. The field activates and is pre-filled with the scanned quantity.
  3. Edit the value if needed, or leave it as pre-filled.
  4. Repeat for each item you want to update.
  5. Tap Save to apply the changes.

Only items with an active (orange-bordered) field are saved. Items you leave at are not changed.

Updating all items at once

Tap Select All (top-right of the list) to activate every item's new value field at once, pre-filling each with its scanned quantity. You can then edit individual values before tapping Save.

Skipping conflicts

Tap Close to dismiss the dialog without saving any conflicted items. Any items that were not in conflict (uncounted items) are still updated automatically. The counted values for conflicted items remain as they were before you tapped Update Counted.

Tapping Close does not undo the RFID scanned quantities in the Scanned column — those values remain. You can tap Update Counted again later if you change your mind.

After saving

On success, a confirmation appears: Updated counted quantities for N item(s). The count detail page reloads and the Counted column reflects the new values. Items that were updated show a counted state (green background if fully matched).

If the update fails, an error message appears and the page reloads to reflect the current server state.
