Getting Started

Get a device ready for everyday use — sign in, complete the first-time setup wizard, and choose the right market and store.

This section covers everything that happens between a fresh device and the moment a staff member can serve their first customer. It is split between two audiences:

  • Administrators or store managers who pair a new device to a tenant, store, and market for the first time, or redeploy a tablet to a different store.
  • Store staff who sign in on a device that has already been set up and start using the app.

If you're setting up a new device, work through the three pages below in order. If you're already familiar with the app and just need to sign in, jump straight to Logging In.

First-time setup at a glance

A typical first-time setup follows this sequence. Each step has its own page with the detail.

  1. Sign in with your work email. The app looks up your organisation and takes you through your identity provider's sign-in (Microsoft Entra ID or Azure AD B2C, depending on how your tenant is configured).
  2. Complete the Initial Setup wizard to choose the device's market, store, default order type, language, optional receipt printer (Windows), and Home layout.
  3. Verify the market and store are correct for everyday use, and learn how to change them later — see Selecting Store and Market.

After the wizard finishes the device is registered against the chosen store and the Home screen becomes available.

The Initial Setup wizard runs automatically on first sign-in for a device. It can be re-run later from Settings → Initial Setup when a device moves to a different store or needs its defaults refreshed.

Where to go next

Once a device is set up and signed in, the next places to head:

  • Home & Quick Access — make the Home screen useful for your store with shortcut tiles and recent activity.
  • Sales & Checkout — start a cart, take payment, and print a receipt.
  • Administration — manage employees, notifications, document templates, sessions, and customisation across the whole device.
  • Troubleshooting — common sign-in, sync, hardware, and saving issues.
