Navigation Sidebar
Choose which sections appear in the navigation bar, pin the ones used most often, and reorder them to match your store's workflow.
The navigation bar runs along the bottom of the In-Store App screen. You can pin the sections your staff use most so they are always visible, and move less-used sections into a folder that opens on demand. Changes take effect immediately — there is no Save step.
This page covers how to open the Navigation Bar settings, pin and unpin items, reorder them, and reset everything back to the defaults.
Opening Navigation Bar Settings
- Open Settings (tap the gear icon in the sidebar).
- Scroll to the Customization section.
- Tap Navigation Bar — subtitle reads Customize navigation items and order.
The Navigation Bar settings page opens, showing the full list of navigation items and a description: Customize which items appear in the navigation bar. Minimum 3 items must be pinned.
The navigation item list
Each item appears as a row showing:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Drag handle (≡) | Long-press and drag to reorder the item |
| Icon | The icon used for this section in the navigation bar |
| Name | The section name as it appears in the nav bar |
| State label | Pinned (shown in accent colour) or In Folder (shown in muted colour) |
| Toggle switch | Turn on to pin the item; turn off to move it to the folder |
Pinned vs. In Folder
Pinned items appear directly in the bottom navigation bar. Tapping them navigates immediately to that section.
In Folder items are hidden from the main nav bar and placed in a folder. Staff access them by tapping the More button (folder icon) in the nav bar, which opens a popup drawer above the bar. The drawer shows all folder items as icon-and-label tiles arranged in a grid; tapping any tile navigates to that section and closes the drawer.
Pinning and unpinning items
Tap the toggle switch on any item row to change its state:
- Toggle on → item becomes Pinned and appears in the navigation bar.
- Toggle off → item moves to In Folder and is accessible via the More button.
A minimum of 3 items must be pinned at all times. If you try to unpin an item that would bring the count below 3, a snackbar appears:
Cannot unpin: Minimum 3 items must be pinned
The toggle reverts and the item remains pinned.
The Quick Access item is only shown in this list when at least one Quick Access tile has been configured. If no Quick Access tiles exist, the item is hidden automatically. See Quick Access Tiles to add tiles.
Reordering items
Long-press the drag handle (≡) on any row and drag it to the desired position. The navigation bar and folder drawer update immediately to reflect the new order.
