Release highlights

  • Unit selection — products can now be sold in configurable units (e.g. per metre, per kg) with a unit picker, add-in-unit support, and unit controls in the cart and editor.
  • Sell gift cards from POS — a new home tile lets cashiers sell gift cards with a numpad amount entry and optional physical card code scan.
  • Reworked transaction log — the transaction log has been rebuilt with faceted filters for type, register, and operator, plus separate tabs for reportable and all transactions.
  • Put sale on hold — cashiers can now park an in-progress sale and retrieve it from the home screen.
  • EAN and size on return/exchange items — size, colour, and EAN are now shown on return selection rows and on the being-returned and new-item cart lines.
  • Cart panel placement — the cart panel position (left or right) is now configurable per device and syncs to the backend.
  • B2B credit limit in the app — payment methods that require credit are now disabled in the payment dialog when the customer's credit is denied or the order exceeds the remaining limit.

What's new

Unit Selection

Products can now be sold in units other than pieces — metres, kilograms, litres, and any other unit configured on the product.

  • A unit picker appears on the product page when a product has multiple sellable units.
  • Add in unit lets cashiers enter a quantity expressed in the selected unit before adding to the cart.
  • Cart and editor controls reflect the selected unit label and quantity throughout the checkout flow.

Sell Gift Cards from POS

A new Sell Gift Card home tile lets cashiers issue gift cards directly from the POS.

  • The tile is shown when the tenant has giftCardEnabled set in InStore settings.
  • Cashiers enter the desired amount on a numpad and can optionally scan a physical card code.
  • The card code is stored as a GiftCard property on the order line for activation by the provider (e.g. Lindbak EG).
  • Localized across Danish, German, English, Norwegian, and Swedish.

Transaction Log

The transaction log has been rebuilt end to end.

  • Faceted filters for transaction type, register, and operator — dropdowns show the actual values present in the result set with counts.
  • Two tabs: "Klar for rapportering" (ready for reporting) and "Alle transaksjoner" (all transactions, including Z-reported).
  • The All transactions tab supports register, date range, and full type filters.
  • Sync status badge always shown on local transactions.
  • Operator row added to transaction cards; falls back to the logged-in account from the JWT when no employee is selected.

Put Sale on Hold

  • Two new home screen widgets: Put sale on hold and Retrieve sale.
  • Cashiers can park an in-progress cart and retrieve it later without losing the contents.

Returns

  • EAN and size are now shown on return selection list rows and on the "being returned" and "new item" cart lines in the exchange flow — makes it easier to confirm the correct variant is selected.
  • Return view UI improved — layout and information hierarchy reworked.
  • Order workflow is now run on exchange lines when the return is confirmed, keeping the order in the correct state.
  • Fully returned orders are excluded from the return list by default.

Cart

  • Order discount percentage is now shown next to the discount amount in the cart summary.
  • Cart panel placement (left or right side of the screen) is now configurable per device and syncs to the backend.

Order Line Edit

  • When editing an order line in InStore, display name, SKU, comment, and cost price are now read-only — prevents accidental edits to fields that should only be changed on the product level.

Customer

  • Market ID is now set on new customers created from the POS, resolved from the store's market settings. Previously customers were created without a market, which could cause issues in market-scoped flows.

B2B Credit

  • The payment dialog now disables payment methods that require credit for B2B customers when the customer's credit is denied or the order amount exceeds the remaining credit limit.
  • Credit is resolved per market from the BusinessCustomerCredit record, falling back to the deprecated customer-level fields.
  • Tapping a disabled payment method shows an explanation.

Credit Note

  • Fixed a bug where the credit note code chip was reset by a background heartbeat request after the return was completed.
  • The credit note code is now hidden from the success dialog (it is already on the printed receipt).

Multi-user & Login

  • Require PIN on logout — a new setting lets stores require a PIN before a cashier can log out, preventing accidental logouts.
  • Touch-friendly lock screen — the lock screen UI has been redesigned for touchscreen devices.
  • Fixed a black screen that could appear when switching users on a shared device.
  • Fixed a dialog controller crash and an issue where locked settings did not unlock after a background sync.

Terminal & Payment

  • Added checkstatus polling for payment terminals that send webhooks with a delay — the app now polls the terminal for a final status instead of timing out.
  • Fixed an issue where the SSO sign-in popup lost keyboard focus on Windows POS, requiring the cashier to click into the field manually.
