My Templates

The My Templates screen lists all receipt templates stored in the Omnium server for your tenant. From here you can load a template into the builder to edit or print it, refresh the list to pick up any recently saved changes, and delete templates that are no longer needed.

Templates are shared across the tenant — any template saved from one device is visible here on all devices.

Opening My Templates

From the Receipt Builder screen, tap the folder icon in the top bar. The My Templates screen opens over the builder. Tap a template card to load it and return to the builder, or use the back button to return without loading anything.

Screen layout

The top bar shows the title My Templates and a Refresh icon button. Below the top bar, a filter bar contains a search field and area filter chips. The rest of the screen shows the template list or grid.

The list adapts to the available screen width:

Searching and filtering

Searching by name

Tap the Search templates... field and type part of a template name. The list narrows in real time to show only templates whose name contains the typed text. Tap the × button inside the field to clear the search and show all templates again.

Filtering by area

Tap a filter chip to show only templates in that area:

Tapping the currently active chip deselects it and returns to All. Search and area filter work together — only templates that match both criteria are shown.

If no templates match the current search or filter, a No Matching Templates message appears with a Clear Filters button that resets both the search field and the selected chip.

Template cards

Each card displays:

• Colour accent bar at the very top — blue for Sale Receipt, grey for Other
• Area icon — a receipt icon for Sale Receipt, a document icon for Other
• Template name — truncated if too long
• Area badge — a small coloured label showing "Sale Receipt" or "Other"
• Last modified date — in the format Jan 5, 2025 14:32
• Delete icon — a red bin icon on the right

Loading a template

Tap anywhere on a template card (except the delete icon) to load it into the builder.

• The screen closes and returns to the Receipt Builder.
• A snackbar confirms Loaded: [template name].
• The Editing: [template name] chip appears in the builder's top bar, and the canvas shows the template's commands.

If the template data is empty or cannot be parsed, a snackbar shows Template is empty or Failed to load template: [reason] instead, and the builder canvas is unchanged.

Refreshing the list

Tap the Refresh icon in the top bar to fetch the latest templates from the server. This is useful if another device or user has saved a template since this screen was opened.

The app also refreshes templates silently in the background every hour, so the list stays current without manual intervention.

If the initial load fails, a Failed to Load Templates error view appears with a Retry button. Tap Retry to attempt loading again.

Deleting a template

1. Tap the Delete icon (red bin) on the template card you want to remove.
2. A confirmation dialog appears:
   • Title: Delete Template
   • Message: Are you sure you want to delete "[name]"? This cannot be undone.
   • Cancel — closes the dialog without deleting.
   • Delete — removes the template from the server.
3. On success, the card disappears from the list and a snackbar confirms Deleted: [name].
4. On failure, a snackbar shows Failed to delete: [reason]. The template remains in the list.

Empty state

If no templates have been saved yet, the screen shows a No Templates Yet message with the prompt Create a template in the builder and save it to see it here. Use the back button to return to the builder, add commands, and save the template via the ⋮ menu → Save.
